Based in Minnesota, I’m an outdoor photographer drawn to the quiet scale and light of the American West—from the vast expanses of Death Valley and the red rock canyons of Utah and Arizona. My special place is the quiet solitude of the desert, the subtle shifts of shadow across the sand, and the raw, unhurried rhythm of the landscape.
For me, the process is simple: long miles on foot, early alarm clocks before dawn, and a willingness to sit quietly and wait for the light to hit the horizon. I’m less interested in perfect conditions than in capturing the raw, enduring feel of these wild landscapes as they are.
